During my Christmas stay at the hotel, I really liked the festive atmosphere they had created. The decorations were beautiful, with stunning Christmas lights and a wonderfully decorated tree in the main lobby. It really set the mood for a holiday getaway. the staff were friendly and welcoming, making me feel right at home. They went above and beyond to make sure I had a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
There were a few aspects of my Christmas stay that I didn't particularly enjoy. the heating in my room was not working properly, and I found it quite chilly.

We had the most amazing stay at a charming guest house near the beautiful town of Peebles. The property and grounds were absolutely stunning, providing a tranquil escape from the city. The highlight of our trip was the exceptional dinner we enjoyed at the guest house. The food was simply outstanding, and the flavors were unlike anything we've experienced in a long time. It's safe to say that the meal was worth every penny. The room we stayed in, although cozy, was incredibly comfortable, and our expectations were exceeded. We only wish we could have stayed for longer! we highly recommend this guest house for anyone seeking a peaceful getaway.

The staff could not do enough. They were attentive and looked only to your enjoyment of your time there. My wife is vegetarian and she did not like the vegetarian option on the menu. The staff made a lovely salad for her and served it in the residents bar. They were on hand at any time to help us and make our stay enjoyable. The public rooms are beautiful. The grounds are lovely with plenty of space to walk. We took our dog and the staff made a fuss over her and let her in to the bar area to sit with us at night. All in all we had a lovely stay.
If you are over 6 ft tall be prepared to duck in and out of the bathroom if you are in the classic rooms and at the top of the house. However it is part of the character of the house

We were hugely impresssed with Cringletie House. We knew from the reviews that is would be good but have to say it far excelled that. Top class service and stylish country house styling throughout. Lots of rooms for you to use to read a book in etc and surrounded by ample grounds to take a relaxing walk around. Truly first class!

We recently stayed at a charming guest house in a scenic location. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted and shown to a cozy attic room. After settling in, we enjoyed a delightful afternoon tea with freshly made scones that kept us going. The highlight of our stay was the Sunday night dinner with paired wine. The hostess took the time to personally explain her selection of wines to each table, enhancing our dining experience significantly. The following morning, we indulged in a delicious breakfast and took a leisurely stroll through the beautiful grounds. the staff were exceptionally helpful and pleasant, making our stay unforgettable. We are already looking forward to returning to this fabulous guest house.

My recent stay at a lovely guest house just outside Edinburgh was truly delightful. The cozy Glentress room provided breathtaking views of the picturesque grounds and valley. I was pleasantly surprised to be upgraded upon arrival. The highlight of my stay was the Tasty Sunday dinner, which consisted of seven delectable courses accompanied by a selection of wines from around the world. The dishes were expertly prepared and served by the friendly staff. In the morning, the traditional Scottish breakfast left me satisfied for the rest of the day. Although there were a few minor drawbacks, overall I highly recommend this charming guest house.
